[The flower field is very pretty and Lucretia is valid. Ichinose tries to peer over her shoulder curiously when she runs across her, hands shoved in her pockets with the sleeves rolled all the way down.]
[ichinose can peek! she's a very good artist, the flowers on the page lifelike save for their lack of color, and she has one or two red blossoms tucked into the notebook. she pauses when addressed, though, to glance up.]
Oh, Ichinose. I am, yes-- are you well, after the other night?
[If she's offended by the question, she doesn't show it.]
Oh, well, it's not like I walked into that kitchen thinking: [DEEPER VOICE] I'll burn myself and take someone else down with me. Ahaha... Accidents happen and all that. But if you want reparations, I'm sure we can come up with something. I did say I was sorry.
No, I don't have much interest in reparations. You did injure yourself along with me, after all. I'm only interested in what you have to say on the matter.
[she's still drawing, her tone level and even.]
My world doesn't have all the same amenities as this one, but you know, that doesn't mean that I'm not aware of how cooking generally works, or that you really don't need to measure the temperature to tell if a pot is boiling when you're making something simple.
[or use that much water in it in general, probably. either it's sus or ichinose is, uh, an interesting cook.]
Now, I'm not saying it must have been intentional, I know not everyone knows their way around a kitchen, but I do want you to understand that I have no intentions if it was.
... Are you sure about that, Director? I mean, even if you say that, it does sound like you've chosen one preeeeetty roundabout way to insist it was intentional.
[Maybe she's just an interesting cook? Wow. Her tone remains light.]
I'm sure. I do mean it; there's no changing things that have happened, and I have no interest in holding anything against you for it. There's no benefit to that.
[she finally sets her pen down, then.]
There is a benefit in knowing the sorts of things we may or may not be asked to do, however.
monday, week two.
... Hello, Director! Keeping busy?

[Questionable. She has regained her zen status, at least.]
And you, Director? How's your arm?
no subject
[sometimes you just carry on with life and that's fine. it's fine!
she puts a finishing touch or two on the flower she'd been drawing, as she speaks.]
Listen, Ichinose, I'd like you to be honest with me about something. Exactly how accidental was that?

[She waggles a fingie.]
So, what is it? I want to hear your theory!
