[hm. she goes quiet, there (or uh, her phone does), a sense of deep contemplation coming from her before she eventually starts to type again.]
I've seen... frankly, a lot of pretty awful things, Ichinose. I've seen a number of worlds end. I've seen my current world nearly kill itself over relics that its people couldn't stop themselves from pursuing, and I know people are capable of some terrible acts.
But I've seen just as much good in the world, and just as much hope. There are things that have happened that were nothing short of a miracle, and especially here... despite all of the death, despite how hopeless I know it feels for many of us, there are so many people who still want to help. To try to do some good here. Even the deaths aren't just a result of people being cruel, and I think that speaks to human nature, too-- that they couldn't simply rely on enough of us to want to do such a thing on our own.
There's something that we've studied, in my universe. There are bonds that link any two things in existence, living or not. Infinite unobservable threads that hold the universe itself together, that cover any number of phenomena-- gravity, magnetism, covalent bonds, but also... our own connections. Our bonds to each other are a part of that same force, of what inextricably links together the very fabric of reality. Humanity is connected in a way that many people will never truly know.
[please understand i cry every time someone protags at ichinose and her void]
Huh... So you believe that humanity's potential for good outweighs the bad. That no one is ever truly alone because of some invisible connection that holds reality itself together. [Slowly, like she's mulling it over.] Oh, well, that's a nice thought.

[Or, like, fantasy humanity. Same thing, maybe.]

[Sounds super fake! But it's nice.]
